In Loving memory of my Dad

I made this special tribute to my wonderful Dad ( My Hero) I used a kit I got by K&company "Navy"
I took a very old photo of my dad back from the 1940's when he was about 18yrs old and in the United States Navy, He served in WWII and was a gunners mate. I took these papers and embellishments and put this together. I then put it in a 8x10 frame and it is now displayed in our family room. I thought this would be a great project for the July4th holiday coming up.

I hope you enjoy my project, thank you for visiting do come again and your welcome to become a follower.

Here is a little info I got about my Dad when he was in the Navy :
He was in England, France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Africa, Ireland, and Sicily. That's in his own service record. His Liberty Ship service aboard the
SS James Schureman, the SS Roger Williams, the SS Benjamin Hawkins,
the SS Marine Fox, the SS Jos. Stanton.
He attained the rank of Gunners Mate, 3rd Class. This info is straight from the US Navy. He was an Atlantic theater of war Veteran.
He was the "BEST" Dad any one could ask for, I miss him more then words can say he was my best friend and My Hero.....I have always been so very proud of him he was the Best as I have said but in every way he was a wonderful loving Father great provider and always there when I needed him from the smallest thing to the biggest thing in my life he was my World. I thank ~ God Every day for giving me such a wonderful, loving, perfect Dad ~

~ God Bless ~

  5. What an amazing tribute to your dad! My dad was in the Navy and was a gunner as well. I just learned this from my uncle. He never really talked about what he did in the Navy, but he must have talked to my uncle about it. He had Alzheimer's and was sick for many years before he died. I miss him so much too. He was the best dad anyone could have asked for! Love your project and thanks for playing our Pretty Palette challenge.
